Mary “Alberta” Brown, 93, of West Tawakoni went to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday, March 19, 2017 in Carrollton. Funeral services celebrating Mrs. Brown’s life will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, March 25, 2017 at Ingram Funeral Home in Quinlan with Pastor Ron Barnard officiating. Interment will be immediately following at Lynch Cemetery in Rains County. Visitation will be held 5:30-7:00 P.M. on Friday, March 24, 2017.

Honorably serving as Pallbearers Mark Clark, Craig Coheley, Colson Coheley, Cirby Coheley, Christopher Stout and Eric Stout.

Mrs. Brown was born February 22, 1924 in Dallas, Texas. She is the daughter of the late Raleigh M. Jordan and Mary Emiline Griffin Jordon. She was raised and attended school in Dallas. Alberta married Charles Brown Sr. on September 28, 1941 and they made their home in Dallas. She worked for several companies as a seamstress. They moved to West Tawakoni in the early 1970’s. Charles preceded her in death on October 10, 2008, she is also preceded by her son Gary Brown on June 15, 2008 also by a grandson Terry Brown on March 13, 2017. She enjoyed sewing, quilting, fishing, riding her golf cart and she loved her neighbors.

She is loved and will be missed by her son Charles Brown Jr. and wife Janet Kay of Wichita Falls; Grandchildren Julia Clark, Christie Coheley, Cynthia Lutter and Pamela Stout; Great-Grandchildren Christopher Stout, Victoria Lutter, Colson Coheley, Cirby Coheley and Heather Friddle; Great Great-Grandchildren Rio, Canyon and Sierra, nephews Terry Joe Moore, Lester Moore and close friend Rachael Brown.
