Leontine D (Lippold) Cleveland

Mary “Leontine” Dorathea Lippold Cleveland, 89, of Greenville went to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, August 2, 2016 in Rowlett. Funeral services celebrating Mrs. Cleveland’s life will be held under the direction of Ingram Funeral Home of Quinlan. Services will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Wednesday, August 10, 2016 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Greenville with Brother Wade Stevens presiding. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Wednesday, August 10, 2016 at Kelsey Cemetery in Kelsey.

Jason Schleimer, Jimmy Compton, Tad Schell, River Schell, Trent Compton, Zef Kurtishi, Adam Gibson and Mark Early will be serving as Pallbearers.

Mrs. Cleveland was born on July 28, 1927 in Detroit, Michigan. She is the daughter of the late Benjamin Franklin Lippold and Mary Agnes Parker Lippold. She attended school and graduated high school in Asbury Park, New Jersey. Leontine married Rex Cleveland Jr. on December 9, 1946 and they made their home in Asbury Park. They later moved to Bradenton, Florida. In 1951 they moved to Ft. Worth and then to Arlington in 1957 followed by a move to California in 1991. In 2004 Mrs. Cleveland moved to Greenville where she remained until her passing. She was preceded in death by her husband on November 29, 1991 and by her brother Ben Lippold.

Mrs. Cleveland was a faithful member of LDS church. She enjoyed spending time with her family.

She is loved and will be missed by her daughters Leslie Cathcart of Gilmer, Kim Compton of Joshua and Valerie Cleveland of Greenville; grandchildren Stephanie, Jason, Jimmy and Andrea; great-grandchildren Tad, Trent, River, Alyssa, Chloe, Kierstin, Zef, Asa, Ammon and Archer; and one great-great-grandchild Ava.
