Roger Craig Wetzel 59 of Royse City went to be with his Lord and Savior Friday, September 9, 2016 at his residence. A Memorial service celebrating Roger’s life will be held at 1:00 P.M. Tuesday, September 20, 2016 at Ingram Funeral Home in Quinlan with Reverend Carol West officiating.

Roger was born April 30, 1957 in Beckley, West Virginia. He is the son of Barbara Jean Wetzel and the late Marvin Lynn Wetzel.  Roger spent his childhood years in Colorado.  After graduating from high school, he attended Oral Roberts University in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Roger and Charles have been together for over 22 years. Roger worked for the state comptroller’s office as a state enforcement officer.  He also was co-owner of Phideaux Cuisine, which sold natural dog and cat treats.  Roger was passionate about the theatre, performing in several plays and musicals.  He is preceded in death by his father and one brother Michael Wetzel.

He is loved and will be missed by his spouse Charles Walderbach of Royse City; mother Barbara Wetzel of Denver, Colorado; sister Becky Gillespie and her husband Bill of Denver, Colorado; sister-in-law Serena Wetzel of Colorado; numerous nieces and nephews; and his fur babies.
