William James Dodds, lovingly known as "Billy" throughout his life, passed away on April 30, 2026, at the age of 55.
Billy was born on July 28, 1970, in Fort Eustis to James Dodds and Margarete Hulda Dodds. He grew up in Durant and later moved to Grand Prairie in 1992. Billy worked for the City of Bedford for eight years before branching out into woodworking and carpentry, trades he truly enjoyed. Over the years, he lived in several places throughout the Metroplex before settling in Quinlan, where he spent the last five years of his life.
Billy enjoyed many hobbies, including race car driving, fishing, and woodworking. He was known for his love of spending time with friends and was happiest surrounded by the people he cared about. He also dearly loved his dog, Clyde, who was his loyal companion for many years.
Billy was preceded in death by his father, James D. Dodds, and his sister, Sandra Dodds. He is survived by his children, Bradley and Valerie Dodds of Fort Worth and their three children; Brandon and River Dodds of Durant and their four children; his two stepbrothers, Ronnie Evans of Florida and Randy Evans of Oklahoma; and his longtime friend, Jodi Graham of Irving. The family asks that you keep them in your thoughts and prayers.
Per Billy's wishes, there will be no funeral service at this time. Family and friends are encouraged to honor his memory in their own special way.
