Torivio Ricarte Obituary

Torivio “TC” Ricarte

11/19/48 – 1/7/24

TC was born in San Antonio, TX on November 19, 1948 and went home to be with his Lord & Savior on January 7, 2024 in Dallas, TX.

TC is preceded in death by his son Brian Ricarte, parents Torivio & Petra Ricarte, brothers Mike Ricarte, Chicho Ricarte and sisters Mary Cerda and Josephine Quintero.

TC is survived by his wife of 32 years Janie Ricarte, children Louis Ricarte, Jessica and husband Cody Benson, Jason Ricarte, Selena Ricarte and fiancé Cutter Cox, Tiffany Ricarte and Cameron Meshell, grandkids Anthony, Carlos, Jayden and Whitley, 3 great grandkids, sister Martha and husband Joe Ramos, brother Jose and wife Dolores Ricarte, as well as several nieces, nephews, in-laws/family and friends.

TC was a Vietnam combat soldier who proudly served in the US Army from 1968 – 1970. He worked as an engineer for several years designing blue prints for parts, Meshell Motors where he was a mechanic, did detail work and helped out anyway he could. He also worked as an electrician for Oncore, where he retired in 2009. TC attended Eastfield College and Oklahoma State University.

TC had a love for outdoors! You could always find him out mowing the yard, grilling food, fishing or just sitting outside enjoying nature. Anytime you pulled up to his house you would find him in his garage, tinkering with his cars, listening to music. He loved family gatherings and having family come over to cook out and sit around talking, laughing and playing horseshoes.

TC was a jokester/prankster like none other! He greatly enjoyed pulling pranks on anyone he could! He would just sit back and laugh and laugh. He had the best laugh, it was infectious. He had a special love for people, and he never met a stranger. He loved talking and getting to know everyone.

TC loved his wife and children and enjoyed traveling with them. His favorite place to vacation was Port Aransas, TX fishing on the flats! You would always see him with a rod in his hand and a smile on his face. TC was a member of For God’s Glory Church, where he took great pride in maintaining the yard. You would find him most Saturdays behind the church on the riding lawnmower, smiling and waving to people. He also loved helping out with his wife and Lynda in the church pantry.

TC was always willing to help anyone he could. He was a sweet, caring, loving, funny man who will be greatly missed and was loved by all!

A celebration of life will be held on February 17, 2024 at For God’s Glory Church 309 S. Main St, Crandall, TX 75114 at 1:00pm.
