Tomi J. Munks, 66—father, grandpa, finance director, Elvis enthusiast, devoted man of faith, and human megaphone—officially clocked out for the last time on April 5, 2026. Tom didn’t just walk into a room—he lit the room up with his voice, dancing, and stories. Honestly, it won’t be the same without him.
He spent years at Bell Road Toyota in Phoenix, closing deals with ease, and unintentionally including the entire building in every conversation.
Tom proudly leaves behind a lively and well-loved crew, having shared five children with three strong-willed women who could certainly hold their own: Samantha (Wayne), Brandie (Zachary), Amanda (Kallin), Thomas, and Abby. Rounding out the family is his loyal dog-child, Farkle, who held a special place in his heart (and likely believed he was in charge). Together, they formed a family built on laughter, resilience, Elvis, and just the right amount of chaos to keep things interesting.
He also leaves behind his greatest pride and joy—his seven grandchildren: Rylen, Enrika, Shawn, Audree, Laney, Harlyn, and Christian. If you knew Tom, you knew that while he loved raising his children, nothing lit him up quite like being “Grandpa.” Add in his three beloved grandpups—King, Hyde, and Tyrion—and you had a full house that Tom wouldn’t have traded for anything.
At Saint Bernadette Church with the Knights of Columbus, Tom was a staple - usually in the kitchen, definitely loud, making everyone feel welcomed, and always making sure no one left hungry.
His memory and the legendary “Munks face” will live on through his children and grandchildren—a family tradition of sticking tongues out in photos that somehow became permanent.
Tom was also loved by his siblings—Tami, Dani, Kim, and Lori—as well as many nieces and nephews. He also shared a special bond with his cousin Tim, who was more like a brother than anything else.
In his honor: play Elvis, speak up, live big, love the Lord, feed people, and stick your tongue out.
