Obituary
TJ Dodge, age 62 of Quinlan, passed away on May 2, 2022.
Born on November 26, 1959, in Kalamazoo Michigan, TJ was raised by his foster parents Bud and Gloria Vote. He attended high school in Michigan; and in 1978 he moved to Texas.TJ married his true love, Leisa LaFrensen on New Year’s Eve In 2000. Theirs is an enduring and strong, loving partnership.
T.J started Double D Trucking in 1990. As a boss, he was a fair and caring man, and was respected by his team. He was a country gentleman with a strong moral character. He loved country living and working outdoors. TJ was a traditional plain-spoken cowboy and a bit of an outlaw. TJ loved his country and his family. He was especially proud of being a father and being “Grumpa” to their very special grandson, Kemper.
He is survived by his wife Leisa LaFrensen, his son Trevor Dodge of Quinlan, daughter Ashley and her husband Jared Hall, grandson Kemper Hall, 3 sisters in Michigan, extended family and friends including Double D Drivers.
TJ is preceded in death by his foster parents and his best buddy- his dog Beau.
As TJ always said, “I’m fine as frog hair and it will all buff out.”
