A Celebration of life for Steven Michael Williams, age 64, will be held on Friday, July 19, 2024, at 2 P.M. at Ingram Funeral Home in Quinlan, TX.
Steve, also lovingly known as “Pop”, was born on August 17, 1959, in Garland, Texas to parents Michael Calvert Williams and Lena Martha Alwine Meeks (Grabs).
Steve was a man who loved to fix things, whether that be a broken sink or a wounded spirit. He became a Master Plumber and did his job well, but what he was even better at was being a Pastor. He loved to spread the gospel and his love of Jesus every week in his church. For the last 15 years of his life, he was a member of the Family Bible Church in Royse City. In his free time, he could be found at Burgers and Fries eating his favorite dinners, holding a pole and reeling in the largest bass you’ve ever seen or just simply playing a game of dominoes. His grandsons were his entire world, and he was proud to be their Pop.
God graced Steve with a beautiful family that he leaves behind. He is survived by his daughter Ashley Lenore Pierce and husband Jimmy Travis Pierce Sr.; grandsons Jimmy Travis Pierce Jr. (Bam), Beau Lakota Pierce, and Jaxon Peyton Pierce; sisters Tommie House and Lila Freelan; sister-in-law Kathryn Rinderknecht; and brother-in-law John Ponder.
He was greeted in Heaven by his brother Leonard (Bubba)Rinderknecht; sisters Betty Rinderknecht and Barbara Ponder, and brother-in-law David House.
Steve was a loving and kind man who never met a stranger. He would adopt anyone into his family that he felt needed more love in their lives. The best way to him sum up would be a “Joke telling, gospel spreading, born and raised Texan, who was proud to be a Navy veteran” who will be missed.
