Stephen Rabon

Stephen Rabon, age 52, of Quinlan, passed away on Monday, September 16, 2024. Funeral services will be held at 3:00pm on Saturday, September 28, 2024, at Ingram Funeral Home in Quinlan with a visitation from 1:00pm-3:00pm.

Stephen Edward Rabon was born on September 18, 1971, in Columbus, Ohio to Mr. Carlton Edward Rabon Jr. and Nella Evelyn Corkwell Rabon. After his graduation as valedictorian from Millersport High School in 1989, he attended Ohio State and earned a bachelor’s degree in Zoology. He moved to Texas and worked in the veterinarian animal care department of the Dallas Zoo. He received his teaching degree from Howard Payne University in Brownwood. Stephen loved being a science teacher and had a fascination of advanced animal sciences. He taught high school science in Terrell and Greenville. He also served as a high school substitute teacher in Mesquite, Garland, and Quinlan. Stephen was extremely intelligent and embraced his nerdy side. He was a collector of comic books and a loyal ‘Trekkie’ Star Trek fan. He was also an avid Ohio State Buckeye fan.

He is survived by his daughter, Keyla Korkoskie and husband Mike; mother, Nella Rabon; brother, Dennis Rabon and wife Paula of Illinois; and grandchildren, Kiernan Korkoskie and Teegan Korkoskie.
