Sarah Elizabeth Asbridge Elmore, age 65, of Wills Point, passed away Sunday, July 11, 2021. A celebration of her life will be held at 2p.m. July 21, 2021 at Ingram Funeral Home in Quinlan.
Sarah Elizabeth Asbridge was born on September 25, 1955, in Decator County, Tennessee to the late James Edward Asbridge and Hazel Irma Criswell Asbridge. She was raised in Dyersburg, Tennessee and graduated from Dyersburg High School. She married Mr. James Anderson Elmore on July 20, 1978. Sarah was a homemaker. She enjoyed listening to country gospel music. She also loved word find puzzles and making latch hook potholders. Sarah will be remembered for her outgoing personality. She loved to talk to people and never met a stranger. She loved her home state and always said, “Tennessee will always have my heart”. She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Hazel; brother, James Thomas Asbridge in April 2020 and grandchild, Tristin Horton on June 26, 2004.
She is greatly loved and will be missed by her husband of 43 years, James A. Elmore of Wills Point; daughters, Jeannie Lizann Savage and husband Jackie and Melissa Andrea Horton and husband Johnnye Taylor of Quinlan; brother, Jerry Irby of Tennessee; sister, Cherry Irby of Tennessee; sister-in-law, Cindy Baty of Seagoville, grandchildren, Dustin Horton of Campbell, Sarah Elmore of Greenville, Samuel James Elmore of Greenville and Katelyn Taylor of Quinlan; best friend, Nancy Barron of Grand Saline and her K9 kid, Baby.
