Sandra Deleen Leggitt Parrish, age 74, of West Tawakoni, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday, June 24, 2024.
Sandra Deleen Leggitt was born on Sunday, November 20, 1949, in Phoenix, Arizona to Mr. Oliver Edward Leggitt (Papa Eddie) and Teauta Fae Wheeler Leggitt. She graduated from Maryvale High School in Phoenix. Sandra served as an EMT in the 1980's and later a waitress for Tom Sawyers Restaurant in Quinlan and Rip Griffins in Terrell before retiring to accept a high-level position of mom and nana. She loved her Lord and was a member of Generation Faith Center in Quinlan.
She is greatly loved and dearly missed by her sons, James Parrish and wife Sharla of Quinlan and Christopher Noland and wife Tasha of Waxahachie; daughters, Jammie Killgore and husband Faron of West Tawakoni and Jessica Noland of Waxahachie; sister, Linda Brooks of New River, Arizona; grandchildren, Amanda and Kevin O'Connell, Chad Ford, Nicholas Pierce, Gavin Parrish, Shaina Noland, Leah Peninger, Gabriel Peninger, Samantha Parrish; great grandchildren, Abigail O'Connell, and Damien Peringer, Koltyn O'Connell.
She enjoyed spending time with her grandkids and great grandchildren and playing games on her phone.
There wasn't a child she didn't love. She was "Nana" to everyone. Even known as the "bubblegum lady" to the kids at church. She was loving, caring and could be stubborn at times. But she always did her best to show you how much she cared about you. She didn't have a problem giving her last dollar to her grandchildren, if it meant she was making them happy. No wasn't a word that they heard often.
Preceding her in death are her parents: Oliver Leggitt, Teauta "Peggy" Leggitt, Brother Robert Conklin, sister Diana Coldiron and granddaughter Cherie Noland.
Celebration of life will be July 13 at 11 a.m. at Generation Faith Center in Quinlan with a small lunch to follow. Please if you were honored to have been blessed by Sandra, come and share your stories with the one's that loved her most.
