Ruby Irene Chappell Morgan of Irving, Texas passed away on October the 7th 2021 at the age of  Age 100.Graveside services celebrating her life will be held at Highland Cemetery in Deport  Texas on Friday, October 15, 2021 at 11:00am. Under the Direction of Ingram Funeral Home in Quinlan Texas. 

Ruby was born in Minter,  Lamar County, Texas on September the 18th,1921 to Ruthie Lee Whitney and Lonnie Chappell. She went to Minter Grammar School in Minter and graduated from Deport High School in May 1938.Ruby attended the Methodist Church and she was a member of the Eastern Star. Ruby married W.B. Morgan October the 16th 1941 in Grant, Oklahoma. Her daughter, Carole Elaine was born September the 26th 1942 in Cheyenne, Laramie County, Wyoming. 

After her husband W.B. returned from the war in 1945, they moved to Dallas, Texas. Ruby worked as a secretary at the St .Paul Hospital. In 1956, Ruby and W.B. started their own business, Dal-Tex. Sheet Metal Works. Ruby was vice president and secretary for their business until 1982, when they retired and sold their company. Ruby and W.B. worked as game patrol officers for American Sportsman Association in the '80's. Every Summer from 1987 to 1999, the couple would travel to Colter Bay in Wyoming, where they worked and enjoyed the beauty of the Grand Tetons, Yellowstone Park and the Rocky Mountains. She was 30 year resident of the Lake Tawakoni Community from 1982 to 2012. After the passing of her husband in 2012, she moved to Irving with her daughter from 2012 to October 7th 2021.Ruby enjoyed being with her family, traveling and hunting.

She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She had seven siblings: Dillard, Clyde, Houston, Roy, Homer, Sterling and Loyce who all preceded her in death. Ruby is loved and will be greatly missed by her daughter, Carole Elaine Willard of Irving, Texas; granddaughter,  Lisa Kay Willard of Irving, Texas; grandson, Randy Willard and his wife, C.J. of Irving, Texas; great granddaughter,  Robyn Willard Tomsin of Sydney, Australia, as well as her extended family and friends.

The family would like to express appreciation and thanks to Baylor, Scott and White Hospital and the wonderful care from the staff and nurses from Faith Presbyterian Hospice in Dallas, Texas. Their services went beyond expectations caring not only for Ruby, but also her family.
