Robin Richardson

Robin James Richardson passed away June 17, 2025, in Plano Texas. Rob was 73. He was born September 26, 1951, in Des Moines, Iowa to Lin and Gerri Richardson. Although he spent much of his adult life in Quinlan, Texas, he stayed in touch with many of his Iowa classmates.

 Rob graduated from Urbandale High School in 1969, and the University of Northern Iowa in 1973. He went on to earn a master’s degree in business from Southern Methodist University. Rob’s life was devoted to his music, his love of travel, and his rescue efforts for dogs.

Rob was preceded in death by his parents, Lin and Gerri Richardson, and his older brother Mark L. Richardson. He is survived by his sister Cindy McLaughlin (Mike), his nieces and nephew, and Virginia Conley Richardson.

A Remembrance will be held for family and friends in Quinlan Texas on July 29, 2025. Burial will be at Chapel Hill Cemetery in Des Moines at a later date.
