It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Ricki Earl Harris, who was born on October 28, 1953, in Dallas, Texas, and passed away on April 1, 2026. Ricki was a devoted father and a man of simple pleasures, finding joy in the tranquility of nature. He cherished fishing and hunting, seeking solace in the great outdoors, where he often felt most alive.
Ricki's deep love for animals and his gentle spirit endeared him to many. He was also a man of creativity, enjoying arts and crafts that allowed him to express his unique vision. He will be fondly remembered for his strength, quiet joy, and unwavering affection for his family and friends.
Ricki is survived by his children, Randy Harris, Ricky Harris, Misty Moody, and Amber Reese, as well as several grandchildren and great-grandchildren who will carry on his legacy. He also leaves behind his beloved sisters, Debbie Harris and Rebecca Stillwell. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Shelly Harris, his sister Diane Kirby, and his parents.
A celebration of Ricki's life will be held at a later date, where all who knew and loved him will gather to honor and remember him. Though he may no longer walk among us, his spirit will endure in the stillness of a fishing line on the water, the serenity of the woods, and the beauty of the outdoors that he cherished so deeply.
