RAYMOND DALE HUDSON

Raymond Dale Hudson age 83, of Sulphur Springs, Texas passed away on Saturday, September 19, 2020.  A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 P.M. Saturday, October 10, 2020 at Heritage Park and Museum in Sulphur Springs.  To honor Raymond, you may wear any type of Dallas Cowboys attire; however, no other team attire will be permitted.

Raymond was born September 3, 1937 in Aransas Pass, Texas to the late Willie Mitchell Hudson and Daisy Magdalene Spicer Hudson.  He was raised and attended school in Marlin, Texas and later served in the National Guard.  On September 26, 1959 he married the love of his life, the former Barbara Forester.  Raymond working career span 44 years.  He retired for US Steel in Garland, Texas, retiring after 20 years of services, then later spent 14 years with Garland ISD and Walmart in Sulphur Springs for 10 + plus years.  Raymond was a #1 Dallas Cowboys Fan.  Since 1960, he never missed listening or watching a game until September 20, 2020.  Being a big sports fan, Raymond also helped coach his sons in their various sports.  He enjoyed the outdoors and loved gardening, caring for this chickens, fishing and deer hunting.

He is loved and will be missed by his wife of 61 years Barbara; sons Randall Dean Hudson and Richard Daniel Hudson and his wife Carrie; grandchildren Amanda, Meagan, Chelsey, Shane, and Cassidy; great-grandchildren Douglas, Maddalyn, Sophia, River, Gentry, Ezekil.

Preceded in death, daughter Barbara Raye Hudson; brother William Mitchell Hudson; sisters Syble Hudson Mercer and Daisy Marie Hudson Fritts.
