Nona Harris

Nona Mae Sain Harris, age 63, of Quinlan, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, April 24, 2024. A private celebration of her life was held on Saturday May 4,2024.

Nona Mae Sain Harris was born on Tuesday, June 21, 1960, in Irving Texas to the late James

R. Sain and Mary E. Harris Sain and moved to Quinlan as a child. She married the love of her life Timothy Lee Shepard on July 1, 2007, and they made their home in Quinlan. Nona was an exceptional cook and enjoyed sharing her culinary talents with family and friends and loved hosting events. Her compassionate heart was shown in her caretaking skills and her love of helping others. Her legacy of compassion and love for people will continue in those that loved her. Nona was preceded in death by her son, Calvin Harris; parents, James and Mary Sain; grandparents, James and Nona Sain and W. Stanley and Grace Harris; brothers, Jimmy, Monty, Calvin, Quentin, and Billy Sain; sister, Teresa Keelin.

Nona was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by her husband of 17 years, Timothy Shepard; daughter, Christal Carr and Isaac of Greenville, Texas; sons, John Shepard of Gruver, Texas; Justin Blue of Claremore, Oklahoma; grandchildren Jazmyne, Emmilei, Jaiden, Ivy, Emma, Austin, Nicholas, and Jaxxon, Milo, Crosby, Harvey, and Drew.
