Nancy McGaughy Kanaman of Campbell passed away Sunday, September 18, 2022, at the age of 84.
Nancy was born on July 12, 1938, to Jack and Agnes McGaughy in Dallas. She grew up in Kleberg, TX and attended Kleberg Elementary and Seagoville High School. She married Jack Lynn Kanaman on May 23, 1958, in Durant, Oklahoma, and they were married for 62 years. Nancy worked as a bank teller for 21 years and then worked for Texas Gold Connection for 30 years. Nancy was a very active lady - she loved roller skating, baking, gardening, canning, sewing, spending time with her family and she loved traveling with her friends. Rodeo was also a large part of her life. She attended Lamar Baptist/Family Fellowship Church for 43 years.
Nancy is survived by her son Collin Kanaman and wife Leah of Campbell; daughters Lola Kanaman, of Frost, and Lynn Blue and husband Paul of Greenville; brother Jack Rowland and wife Patty of Godley; sister-in-law Linda McGaughy of Georgetown; grandchildren, Jackie McMinn and husband Cody, Rae Ann Elliott and husband Brian, Ashley Kanaman, Brooke Blue, Hannah Kanaman, Parker Blue and wife Abigail; great-grandchildren Kaydence McMinn, and baby girl Elliott on the way; along with many extended family and friends.
Nancy was preceded in death by her husband Jack Kanaman; her parents Jack and Agnes McGaughy; son Keith Kanaman; and brother Richard McGaughy.
There will be a Memorial Service Sunday, September 25th, at 3:00 p.m., at Family Fellowship Church in Greenville with Rev. Paul Blue and Rev. Rick Blue officiating. There will be a visitation to follow immediately after.
