Mildred Wassum

Mildred Catherine Wassum, born on May 30, 1948, in Illinois, passed away peacefully on November 4, 2025, at the age of 77. A lifelong resident of the Midwest until her later years, Mildred embraced the warmth of Texas, making her home in Quinlan.

Mildred was a devoted mother and grandmother, deeply cherished by her family. She is survived by her son Kenneth Wassum, daughter-in-law Nicole Wassum, granddaughter Mary Wassum, and grandsons John Wassum and Kasen Wassum. Her legacy continues through her great-grandson, James Garcia, and her siblings, including brothers Russel, Rick, and Bob Feldpausch, as well as sisters Virginia Huckla and Barbara Feldpausch.

Mildred was known for her love of the outdoors, finding joy in gardening and spending time outside. She also delighted in engaging with friends through puzzles and card games, which brought her much happiness. Her family will forever remember the countless joyful moments spent together, reflecting her loving spirit.

Following her wishes, her remains will be cremated, and a gathering to celebrate her life will take place at her home in Quinlan, Texas. Mildred's memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew her, and she will be missed dearly by all who were lucky enough to share in her life.
