Michael Ernest Sulin, 81, of Emory, Texas, passed away on September 27, in 2025, in Sulphur Springs, Texas. He was born January 11, 1944, in Massillon, Ohio, to Cornelius and Alma Sulin.
On July 25, 1975, Michael married Victoria, and together they shared 50 wonderful years of marriage and family. He was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather whose greatest joy came from his loved ones.
Michael is survived by six daughters and their spouses:
• Robin Petree of Wooster, Ohio
• Michelle Merchant of Huntington, Texas
• Tina Williams of Killbuck, Ohio
• Dawn Dennis and husband Terry of Madison, Wisconsin
• Regina Neville and husband Rick of Killbuck, Ohio
• Kathi Bruce and husband DJ of Emory, Texas
Michael was blessed with 15 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild, all of whom brought him immense pride and happiness.
Michael was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers; a sister; two grandchildren; and two son-in-laws.
He worked as a welder until his retirement and was known for his strong work ethic and dedication. Beyond his career, Michael’s legacy was his family and the love he shared with everyone who knew him. He was always there if you needed him.
Funeral Services
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 9, 2025, at 1:30 p.m., followed by the funeral service at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Robert Burns officiating. Services will take place at Miracle Faith Baptist Church, 127 E North St, Emory, Texas 75440.
Michael will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him, but his memory will continue to live on in the hearts of his family and friends.
