Michael Vernon Pritchett, 69 of Wills Point, Texas (formally of Irving) passed away on Friday, April 4,2025 at Medical City Dallas.
Michael was born on August 28, 1955, in Ennis Texas to Sara and Buddy Pritchett.
He is preceded in death by his Mother Sara Jo Pritchett (Wilson) and Father William Vernon (Buddy) Pritchett.
He is survived by his sister Ruth Ann Wages (Skip) of Winnsboro, brother James Dale Pritchett (Karen) of Wills Point. Nephew Benjamin Wages of Gladewater, nieces Sara Seitz (David) of El Dorado Springs, Mo, Elizabeth (Beth) Harwood (Chris) of Dallas. His six great nieces and nephews, stepsister Tresi Weeks (Kevin), stepbrothers David Moore (Virginia), Chris Moore and Lynn Moore (Lesley).
Mike went to East Texas Baptist University and received his degree in business at Dallas Baptist University.
It took him 10 years, but he did it!
He worked at Neiman Marcus as a fraud investigator for 19 years, then went to work security at Iidon before retiring to Lake Tawakoni in 2022.
Mike was of the Baptist faith and attended First Baptist Church of Carrollton for many years. Mike loved collecting coins which was his passion in life. He also loved spending time with family, especially all his nieces and nephews who called him Uncle Mike. He made sure they all had a T-shirt to wear that said, “I love My Uncle Mike.”
