Michael Allen Hokerk, 30, of Quinlan went to be with his Lord and Savior on Monday, December 24, 2018 in Lindale. Memorial services celebrating Michael’s life will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Sunday, January 6, 2019 at Harvest Bible Church in Greenville with Brother Scott officiating.
Michael was born April 24, 1988 in Dallas, Texas. He is the son of Robert William Hokerk and the late Jackalynn Rodgers Hokerk. Michael was raised and educated in Quinlan. He later attended Paris Junior College in Greenville where he received his HVAC certifications. After college he went to work in the oil fields as a ‘cool tubing’ worker and has been enjoying his work for the past 5 years. Michael was also preceeded in death by his grandparents Herbert Glasser and Dolly & Jack Edington. He was an avid fisherman who also enjoyed hunting and being a prankster. He was a real ‘people’ person who never met a stranger and was the life of the party. Michael had a beautiful smile that would light up a room.
He is loved and will be missed by his father Robert Hokerk of Quinlan; grandmother Phyllis Glasser of Greenville; sister Kristy Hokerk of Quinlan; brother Kristopher Hokerk and wife Marta of Royse City; nieces Layla & Alyssa Heckford; uncles Darrin Hokerk and wife Misti of Royse City, Sonny Edington and wife Kathy of Jacksonville, Keith Glasser and wife Lycee of Dallas; cousins Adrienne, Chase and Shaiona and numerous friends.
