Obituary

Mary L. Woodman, age 94, passed away joining Jesus Christ, her Lord, and Savior on April 21, 2023, at home in Rockwall, TX surrounded by her family. 

Mary was born to Allen and Elsa Lindner Murphy on March 5, 1929, in Danbury, Ct.  She moved to Claremont, NH in her teen years where she met and married her high school sweetheart, Dexter Woodman May 22, 1948. Mary received her nursing degree in 1966 but left nursing to follow her passion for antiques. In 1995 she established Still Water Antiques in Eastford, Ct, transforming an old grocery store into a charming shop.  Declining health precipitated her move to Rockwall, Tx where she lived for the remaining 10 years in her daughter’s care.

Mary is preceded in death by her husband, Dexter Woodman; brother, Linder Murphy; Sister, Caroline Livermore; and daughter, Dana Fontaine.

 She leaves behind her sister, Sherry Schultz; Son-in-law, Leo Fontaine; her daughters and their husbands; Dixie and Andrew D’appollonio of Coventry, CT; Susan Woodman and spouse, Howard Wright of Willington, CT; Lynn and Mark Cataldi of Ashford, CT; Lorilee and Jaime Maldonado of Rockwall, TX.  In addition, she is remembered by 11 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.
