Mary Ruth Applebaum, age 79, of Manteca, California, passed away in Quinlan, TX on May 9, 2025, in the company of her loved ones. Born on February 7, 1946, in Albuquerque, New Mexico, Mary was a devoted mother and cherished family member, leaving behind her sons, Steven Applebaum and Anthony Applebaum, her daughters, Louise Applebaum and Juanita Shaneck, as well as her siblings, Linda Villas, Carline Thomas, Rosalee Geiling, Mike Payne, Gary Payne, and Carl Payne, multiple grand kids, and great grand kids, nieces and nephews. She was cared for by her niece Christal Ugalde and family and will be deeply missed by all that had the pleasure of knowing her.
Mary was known for her love of family, often gathering everyone for game nights filled with laughter and competition. An avid traveler, she relished the opportunity to visit new places and create lasting memories, always capturing moments through her photography. She was particularly proud of her baptism in the Jordan River, a spiritual milestone she held dear.
In her retirement, Mary developed a passion for shopping, finding joy in discovering unique treasures and gifts for her loved ones. Her warmth, enthusiasm, and love for life left an indelible mark on everyone fortunate enough to know her.
Mary's life will be honored through a cremation disposition at 8745 Dustin Drive, Quinlan, Texas. The family request those who knew her to celebrate her memory and the love she shared with others.
