Marvin L Maghan

Marvin Lee Maghan, 46, of Poetry, went to his eternal heavenly home on Sunday September 24, 2023. Services will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday September 30, 2023, at Ingram Funeral Home in Quinlan. A viewing will be held on Friday from 6-8 at the funeral home.

Marvin was born in Dallas, TX on Saturday August 13, 1977, to Robert James Magan Jr. and Linda Nell Bonds. He was a Texan through and through and stayed close to the Dallas area his entire life. He met the love of his life Renee in 1994 and they tied the knot on Saturday February 13th, 1999, in Garland, TX. Marvin was a very social person who loved to spend time with his family and friends, making memories, and enjoyed making people laugh. He was the owner of Southern Shade and was extremely proud of the successful company that he created with his own two hands. His son Rylan took on the position of helping his dad run the company after graduating high school. Marvin could usually be found fishing or hunting in his spare time; he was a very avid outdoorsman. He was a very entertaining man who will forever be loved and missed. After his passing a friend wrote a note about Marvin that describes him perfectly: “If Texas was a person, it would be Marvin. Though he left us young, he lived more life than most people that live to be 100.” 

He is survived by his parents; loving wife Renee Maghan of Poetry; son Rylan Maghan and partner Macey Dyson of Poetry; daughter Katelyn and husband Chad of Rockwall; sister Karie Lyons and husband Ray of Center Point, TX; grandchildren Charlotte Pruitt and Slayde Maghan; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins that he adored as well.
