Martha “Marty” Lynn Burress Williams, age 70, of Quinlan Tx, went to her Lord and Savior on May 7, 2022, at home with Crutch by her side.
Marty was born January 21, 1952, to the late Raymond Burress and Lola Betty Jones in Dallas, Texas and raised in Arlington, Texas. Marty married William “Crutch” Crutchfield Williams II on August 7, 1976, in League City Texas. While living in Clear Lake Shores she worked for NASA as a back-up communications specialist to the space shuttle. That was not enough for Marty she then worked for a company traveling the country for a rare coin business, on her off days she enjoyed volunteering in the local food pantry where she loved helping people, it showed her compassionate and her caring selflessness. She was a member of the United Methodist Church woman group in Quinlan Tx, she was also a city secretary for Clear Lake Shores, Texas and Dickinson, Texas. She was a Passed Worthy Matron of Order of Eastern Star in Quinlan, Wills Point, and League City. She was a member and officer of the Lion Club and Civic Club, most importantly she was an avid animal lover. She helped many people and animals along life’s journey. Marty was a member of the AA and was immensely proud of her sobriety of over 30 years, not only for herself but for other members that looked up to her.
She is loved and will be missed by her loving husband William Crutch Williams, and sister Barbara Hughes of Wills Point, Tx.
She was preceded in death by her parents Raymond and Lola Betty Burress.
