We are deeply sorry for your loss - the staff at Ingram Funeral Home
Martha Jane Winton, 74, of Quinlan passed away on August 3, 2022. She was born on March 21, 1948 in Leonard to Alvin Scroggins and Ruth Bradford.
Martha was a very giving soul who loved Jesus; never knew a stranger; and would give her last dollar to help another. She was known for having open and inviting arms to all who knew her. She was also very kind to animals and loved dogs and cats. Martha was very funny, having no filter, and could make people laugh. She enjoyed traveling to Louisiana and was known as “Dallas” to her friends there. A unique thing about Martha was that she was in the movie “The Trial of Lee Harvey Oswald” playing the part of his mother.
Martha is survived by her son, Kirk Rushing of Quinlan; daughters: Donna Anderson and husband, Patrick of North Richland Hills, Paula Golston and husband, Ladell of Bells; sisters: Shirley Fagen of Leonard, Ruby Johnson of Leonard; 9 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; and kitty, Merlynn.
She was preceded in death by her twin, Mary; younger sister, Alva; and beloved dog, Peanut.
There will be a memorial to celebrate the life and laughter of Martha at 6:00 pm on Friday, August 12, 2022 at Ingram Funeral Home in Quinlan.
