Loretta Sharlene Butler was born May 3, 1940, in Dallas, TX.  She went home to be with Jesus on December 27, 2021, at her home in Mesquite, Texas with her children by her side.  She was proceeded in death by her mother Esta Myers, father Lowell Reynolds, stepfather Von Myers, sister-in-law Lulla Reynolds, and great grandson T.J. Boger.

Loretta graduated from Adamson High School in 1958 and Kilgore College in 1988 with an associate’s degree in applied science.  She worked for Lonestar Gas for 18 years and several other administrative jobs until retiring in the late 90s.  She was an active volunteer for the United Way for many years.  She enjoyed reading, crafting, and painting. Her family will treasure the Christmas decorations she made them.  She loved her home at Cambridge Court Assisted Living Facility, the staff, caregivers, and all her friends.

She is survived by her son’s she “loved the mostest” Ernest Eugene Boger & Damon Von Boger, daughter-in-law’s Rebecca and Alesha, brothers Coy Reynolds & Rick Reynolds, grandchildren Zachary, Alex, Jessica, Jacob, Anna and Sabrina, great grandchildren Jacob, Travis, Eli, Owen, Attie, and Logan.  Many other family and friends.

Memorial service will be Saturday, January 8, 2022, at 11:00 am at Hope Church 620 US 80 Sunnyvale TX 75182.
