Lisa Meshell Obituary

Lisa Walker Meshell was born on February 7, 1959 and went home to be with our Lord & Savior on March 11, 2020.

Lisa is preceded in death by her daddy, Herman Edwin Walker.

Lisa is survived by her loving husband of 42 years Doug Meshell of Crandall, TX; her daughter Courtney Peterson and husband Robert of Crandall, TX;  daughter Erika Deal and husband David of Dallas, TX, grandchildren Sean & Landry Peterson; her mother Joyce Walker of Dickinson, ND; sisters Joyce Prestriedge of Dickisnon, ND; Twyla Walker of Van, TX; Kim Loyd of McKinney, TX; & Rhonda Long of Ft Worth, TX; several nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends. Although not biological, Lisa had other children she loved and considered her own, Kyndal Wells, Allen & Angelia Morris (and family), Monica & Andrew Arredondo. Honorary siblings Brinda Sue, MaryAnne Vallejo, Sheryl Harcourt & Frances Arredondo.

Lisa grew up in Pleasant Grove where she and her sisters had the run of the neighborhood. They spent countless hours with their friends biking, skating and playing games. Lisa would tell numerous stories of growing up on Jared, and various family trips. She loved her parents but was always a momma’s girl. Lisa attended H Grady Spruce HS where she graduated in 1977. She married the love of her life on April 11, 1977. Together they had 2 beautiful daughters. Lisa worked in the banking industry where she was a teller supervisor for 30+ years. Through her work she met a group of incredible ladies that became life-long friends. Lisa loved teaching Sunday school and was very involved in her church. She was part of the Ladies group and loved sitting on her pew and hearing her husband minister God’s word. Lisa’s family was her life, she was most happy when attending and cheering on her grandkid’s various sporting/band events, shopping and hanging out with her girls or spending time with her husband. She loved joking, laughing and harassing Mike and Buster; as they had a special bond. She also enjoyed going to lunch/shopping with her cousin, Sheryl and sisters.  Lisa loved singing, dancing, laughing, roller skating, shopping, painting, attending concerts, playing games, music, watching Hallmark and playing with Maggie.

You could not beat Lisa’s popcorn balls, dressing, cherry pie, biscuits, custard pie or her Christmas cookies!!!

Lisa will be most remembered for her caring, loving heart, her sense of humor, her smile and laughter. Lisa was the most selfless person there was. She would stop whatever she was doing in a moment’s notice to do what was asked of her. She loved big and was loved even bigger!

A celebration of Lisa’s life will be held on March 21, 2020 at For God's Glory Church, 309 S. Main Street, Crandall, Texas at 1pm.
