Lawrence Wayne Digby was born on November 14, 1948, in Dallas, Texas. The Lord called him home August 2, 2025 at the age of 76. He was surrounded by family and the loving caregivers at Clyde W. Cosper Veterans Home in Bonham, Texas.
Larry was a proud United States Air Force Veteran of which he honorably served for 10 years. After leaving the military, he began working as a mail carrier for the United States Post Office, retiring after 10 years of service. Larry was an avid sports fan, supporting the Dallas Cowboys and the Texas Longhorns. He was an avid fan of women’s college softball. He also enjoyed fishing and bowling. Larry loved to cook and enjoyed eating good food. Larry truly enjoyed life. He always looked forward to that next birthday. He had such a positive outlook on things. He didn’t know a stranger and loved a good conversation. He loved his family and friends, especially spending time with his children and grandchildren. By those who called him Larry, Daddy and Pawpaw, he was truly loved and will be greatly missed.
He was preceded in death by his parents Roscoe and Lessie Digby and sister Shirley Brockington all from Davis, Oklahoma.
He is survived by his wife, Kim of East Tawakoni; Daughters, Trina Digby Russell and husband Allen, Larisssa Digby Schepok and husband Brandon all of Marietta, Oklahoma; Son, Christopher Lee Ratterree and wife Kelly of Red Oak, Texas. 5 grandchildren; Kayla Quinones, Zachary Quinones, Jordan Ratterree, Trinity Kassheimer, and Jaxson Ratterree. 3 Great Grandchildren; Mikey Finnegan, Kisara Finnegan, Max Finnegan. Brothers, James Digby of Tool and Rickey Digby of Mabank and numerous family members and friends. He is also survived by his sidekicks, Lola and Pinto Bean. They will miss their lap sitting time in the old brown recliner. Like so many, they loved and will miss him so very much.
