Laura Diane Woods

Laura Diane Woods, 56, of Point, TX, passed away peacefully on September 29, 2025. She was born on February 26, 1969, and in her 56 years, she touched countless lives with her love, laughter, and unwavering faith.

Laura was one of seven children. She was preceded in death by her husband, Johnny Woods, her mother, Shirlene Flannery, and her brothers Reggie Martin and Howard Martin. She is survived by her loving sisters Verna Martin, Sharon Horton, and Shanon Brown and brother Jesse Martin.

Laura leaves behind her two daughters, April Rush and Amanda Hatlestad, who were blessed to call her Mom. Her greatest joy in life was being "Granna" to her beloved grandchildren — Gavin Rush, Audrina Hatlestad, Keera Hatlestad, Emersyn Hatlestad, and Hayley Rangel — each of whom held a special place in her heart.

Laura was the heart and strength of her family. She was known for her kindness, compassion, and the way she made everyone feel welcome and loved. Her laughter could light up a room, and her faith carried her through every storm.

Though she is no longer with us, we take comfort in knowing she is reunited with her loved ones and singing in the Lord’s choir. Her love and memory will live on forever in the hearts of those who knew her.
