LEONARD POLAND Obituary

Leonard George Poland passed away September 12, 2019 at his home in Lone Oak, Texas at the age of 87.

Leonard was born on February 22, 1932.  He is preceded in death by parents, Emmitt and Eunie Adcock Poland; three sisters, Lois Poland, Louise Poland, Winona Coleman and one brother Edward Poland.

Leonard is survived by his wife Cheryl Jeanette Poland; sons Paul Poland, Craig Poland, Mark Poland and Ricky Richardson; and daughters Janet Poland and Cheryl Nicole Poland Brown;. grandchildren Reed Richardson, Preston Poland, Hannah Richardson, Emily Poland, and Leslie Baccus.

Leonard was born in Bastrop, Texas and raised in Irving, Texas.  He was a veteran of the Korean War and was honorably discharged in 1953.  He married the love of his life, Cheryl Jeanette Nevil on December 18, 1976.  He worked as a welder.

Leonard was a hard-working man who loved to weld.  He enjoyed fishing and listening to music.  He also had a passion for training and riding Arabian horses.

Leonard will be sadly missed by his family and friends.
