Kimberly Lynn Cowley, age 57, of Wills Point, passed away on Monday, September 16, 2024. Funeral service will be held at 1:00pm on Saturday, September 21, 2024, at Ingram Funeral Home in Quinlan with burial at Lakeside Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 6pm – 8pm on Friday, September 20, 2024 at the funeral home.
Kimberly Lynn was born on June 22, 1967, in Muskogee, Oklahoma to Mr. Lindsey Smith and Sondra Martin Smith. She was raised in Fruitvale and graduated from Garland High School. She married the love of her life, Stan Cowley and they married on June 21, 1984, in Rockwall, Texas. She served as City Administrator for West Tawakoni. She attended Lakeview Church in Quinlan. Kim enjoyed reading, camping, traveling, and going on cruises. She loved going to concerts and ‘cutting a rug’ on the dance floor with her husband. She was a wonderful cook and enjoyed trying new recipes. Kim loved going to garage sales and first Monday Trade Days. She loved going to the State Fair of Texas and in 2022, she finally rode the Texas Star Ferris Wheel. Her favorite hobby was spending time with those she loved and creating lasting memories with family and friends. She also enjoyed making a big deal out of holidays for her four beautiful grandsons or cheering them on at their sporting events. Kim was a loving woman that would do anything for someone in need. She had an unwavering love for her family and was a loyal and devoted wife, mother, and mimi. She was an amazing daughter, sister, and friend. Kim was a warrior, and fought her battles with a courageous, kind and selfless heart.
She is greatly loved and will be dearly missed by her husband of 40 years, Stan Cowley; daughter and best friend, Cassie and husband Omar Villagomez of Wills Point; mother, Sondra and husband Steve Sickles; grandchildren, Aaron, Noah, Zeke, and Luka; brother in laws, Tom Cowley of Garland; Aaron and wife Stacie Cowley of Post Tx.; brother-in-law, Darrell and wife Nancy Cowley of Jasper, Arkansas; sisters, Kari Smith Ritter of Garland, Kristi Smith of Garland, Misty and husband Shane Ogdie of Flint Tx, Amanda and husband Scott Davis of Houston Tx; Sister in laws Shelby and husband Michael Roberts of Rowlett Tx; Kim and husband Chris Wright of Rowlett Tx.; and a host of cousins, nieces, and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Lawrence and Nell Martin; Aunts, Linda Millier and LaJaun Cartwright-Tresp; and father and mother-in-law, Tom and Bobbie Cowley.
