Kevin Lynn Spraggins Jr.

Kevin Lynn Spraggins Jr., age 30, of Celeste, passed away September 9, 2024. He was born on December 3, 1993, in Dallas, Texas to Kevin Lynn Spraggins Sr. and Amy Eileen McCool.

He was raised in Grand Prairie and Arlington until moving to Royse City in 2008. He attended high school in Royse City and Ennis. As an adult, he moved back and forth between the DFW metroplex and Hunt County. Kevin had the heart of a gypsy and enjoyed the experience of living in various towns and cities until he moved to Celeste in February 2023. He worked in road construction for many years and was also a skilled handyman. He didn’t conform to what others expected. He was strong-willed and true to himself. He had dreams of becoming a certified welder and had recently enrolled in Tulsa Welding School. Kevin loved motorcycles, country dancing, and muscle cars. He also enjoyed fitness, nutrition and weightlifting.

He is greatly loved and will be dearly missed by his parents, Kevin Spraggins Sr. and Amy McCool; brothers, Jordan Spraggins and wife Josey of Fort Worth and James Banks of Celeste; sisters, Brooke Spraggins of Longview and Stevie Hudson of Mansfield; grandparents, Lela “Granny” and Terry Davidson of West Tawakoni; Kristy “MiMi” and Nathan Palmer of Nolanville; and Caroline Cheek of Mansfield. In addition to his immediate family, Kevin leaves behind his ex-wife, Crystal Martin and her three children; and Allison Baker and her whole family including his bonus daughters, Hope Marie Neyland, Charity Marcum and Gracie Marcum.
