Kerry Barton

Kerry Wayne Barton age 74, of East Tawakoni took flight with the angels on March 17, 2022, at his home with his loving family and Hospice Care Team. 

Kerry was born on April 25, 1947, to Herschel Ray Barton and Dorothy Inez Cassell Barton in Alexandria, Louisiana.  He entered the Air Force on January 1,1968 and was discharged on February 1, 1988. Kerry served the United States of America very proudly for 20 years. Many people in his lifetime made mention of his hair, he did have a great head of hair! Kerry was an avid photographer, he loved shopping for antiques, he loved traveling, and he enjoyed the ocean. Kerry never met a stranger, everyone that knew him, knew he could talk forever, maybe that is why he loved traveling so he could meet new people. One thing for sure he loved his grandbabies, and they knew him very well as Grandpa. He enjoyed watching his daughter, Cheyenne ice skate. This strong gentle man has served his county, family, and friends well, may he rest in peace till we see him again. 

Survived by his wife Valerie Coffman, daughter, Cheyenne Barton Coffman, sisters, Kathy Renee Barton Broadway and husband Travis, Lynda Barton Binning Laffitte and husband Stuart, brother, Michael Ray Barton, stepchildren Jennifer Smith, Micheal Hanks and wife Ashley, Matthew Coffman, grandchildren, Gracelyn, Avery, Savannah, Molly, Zane, great-granddaughter, Renesemee, Sister-in-laws, Trevor, Kelly, and Jodie, Father and mother-in-law Gary and Sherry Coffman. 

Preceded in death by his brother Herschel Ray Barton Jr. grandson, Andrew and great-grandson, Malykai.
