A memorial service for Kenneth Lynn Mierzwik, age 71, of Quinlan, Texas will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, August 19, 2023, at Lakeview Church in Quinlan, Texas. Service will be officiated by Pastor Adam Williams. Ken went to be with his Lord and Savior Thursday, August 3rd at Hunt Regional Healthcare in Greenville, Texas surrounded by his family. He was loved by those who knew him and will be missed dearly.
Ken was born on December 16, 1951, in Grand Prairie, Texas to John and Margaret Mierzwik. He married Patricia May Layne on November 28, 2003, in Cedar Hill, Texas. He retired from L3 after 35+ years. He loved watching football and was a diehard Dallas Cowboys fan. He lived on Lake Tawakoni and loved to go fishing or just sit on the dock and feed the fish. He was a devout Christian and loved to read the bible daily. He was a member of Lakeview Church in Quinlan, Texas and was involved in several activities at the church.  
He is survived by his wife Pat, daughter Aimee Fomby of Greenville, Texas, daughter Stephanie and husband Timothy White of Cumby, Texas, step-son Ryan Layne and wife Shari of Amarillo, Texas, sister Debbie and husband Mike Kernen of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, 5 grandkids (Dillan, Trevor, Tatum, Chesa and Lana), 2 great grandkids (Noah and Greyson), and several more family and friends. 
He was preceded in death by his parents, mother-in-law (Jean Lehre) and 2 grandkids (Jacob and Tandi White).
