Johnny Ray Chancellor, age 54, of Terrell, passed away Friday, May 7, 2021. Funeral Services celebrating his life will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Tuesday, May 18, 2021 at Ingram Funeral Home in Quinlan. Visitation will be held from 9:00A.M. – 11:00A.M. prior to the service.
Johnny Ray Chancellor was born on February 22, 1967 in Terrell, Texas to Linda (Lawrence) Powell and James Robert Chancellor. He grew up in Heath, Texas working on cars and fishing with his (bonus) dad, Bill, and being the best big brother to Tammy, Teresa, and Buck.
Johnny spent his later years close to his parents in Poetry, Texas. He was a hard worker and a kind man with a huge heart. He would do anything for almost anyone. He retired from Vistawall and continued his working career at Big Rack Ranch, taking care of Livestock, living the quiet life. Johnny loved the outdoors. He spent as much time as he could outside of the house. He was either in his shop or on the Ranch. He could fix anything with a motor and had at least 2 of every tool known to man. He loved his family, loved his daughters, and was an amazing grandfather to his 5 grandchildren.
Johnny was preceded in death by: wife: Nancy Hite. Grandparents: Mildred and Elmer Lawrence; Robert and Bonnie Chancellor. Uncle: Pat Powell; Tommy Lawrence; Uncle Gary and Aunt Dolly Evans; Aunt Barbara Powell; Aunt Rose and Uncle Jimmy Alexander.
Those left to cherish his memory are: Parents: Linda and William Powell and Bob Chancellor; Daughters: Ashlie with husband Roy, and grandson Carter; Brittany with fiancé Josh, with grandchildren, Kaylee and Kash. Hailey and grandsons, Jayden and Kristopher. Sisters: Tammy with husband Daniel; Teresa with husband Jimmy; Brother: Buck and a host of aunts and uncles; cousins, nieces and nephews, and great nieces and nephews
