John Sidney Casey, age 73, of Royse City, passed away, Sunday, February 5, 2023.
John was born on January 29, 1950, in Cotton Plant, Arkansas to the late Mr. William Henry Casey and Scottie Earl Vaughn Casey.
He was raised in Arkansas, Mississippi, California, and Arizona. He graduated from Antelope Union High School in Arizona. He enlisted into the United States Army on August 6, 1969, in Yuma Arizona and honorably served his country during the Vietnam conflict until his discharge on August 5, 1975. He married the love of his life, Wanda Marion Radabaugh in Caddo Mills. John was an extremely talented carpenter. He worked for 15 years at Vintage Woodworks in Quinlan, Texas, until his retirement in 2019. John loved making wood projects, fishing, camping and puzzles. He also had a usual sense of humor. There was a time in his life that he was inspired to be a train conductor or a professional clown. His joy of clowns was expressed with his extensive clown collection.
He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, Alvin Ray Casey, Danny Frank Casey, Willard Wayne Casey, two sisters, Donna Sue Smith and Mary Ruth Casey, and nephew Keith Radabaugh.
He is dearly loved and will be greatly missed by his devoted wife Wanda Casey of Royse City; Daughters, Julie Gagnon, Angela Gagnon and husband, Anthony Stanley, Kelly Wofford and husband Eric all of Royse City. Grandchildren, Alexis Wofford, Brett Wofford, Rebecca Smith, Shawn Stanley, and Austin Stanley; Great Grandchildren, Gage Kelsey, and Ryder Killian; Brothers, Donald Eugene Casey and wife Sandy, Henry Lynn Casey and wife Maria, and Billy Joe Casey and wife, Lisa.
