Jessie "Gail" (Plummer) McBride

Jessie “Gail” McBride, 75, of Elmo passed away on January 16, 2022. She was born on March 23, 1946 in Dallas to Jesse and Dorothy Plummer.

Gail married Albert McBride Sr on October 1, 1982 by a Justice of the Peace. The JP at the time was going across a field, he stopped his tractor outside of his office and came across the road just in front of the Emory Newspaper. A lady came out with flowers and confetti and that is how Albert and Gail were wed. They lived in Terrell for a short time then moved to Quinlan in 1983. They moved to Elmo in 1989 and lived there until her passing.

She attended Liberty Bible Institute where she earned a Certificate of Ministry. Gail owned a daycare called Gail’s Little Miracles in Elmo.

Gail is survived by her husband, Albert McBride, Sr.; son Bobby Lee Yowell of Elmo; sister and brother-in-law doyle and Mary Gage of Colbert, OK; grandson cody Pickett of Palmer; 3 great-grandchildren; and the many children she took care of throughout the years at her daycare. She had many families that loved her.

She is preceded in death by her parents Jesse and Dorothy Plummer; son Garry Pickett; brother Jerry Plummer; and 3 grandchildren: Bobby Lee Yowell, Jr, Caleb Emanuel Yowell and Andrea Lenee Yowell.

There will be a visitation at 10:00 am and funeral service at 11:00 am on Monday, January 24, 2022 at Ingram Funeral Home Chapel in Quinlan. Interment will follow service at Dunbar Cemetery.
