Jannie Lunsendy Stewart, a beloved mother and grandmother, passed away peacefully on November 26, 2025, at the age of 84. Born on June 6, 1941, in Weslaco, TX, Jannie spent her life dedicated to her family and her home. She resided in Grand Saline, TX, where she embraced the joys of homemaking and nurtured a warm and loving environment for her loved ones.
Jannie was a woman of deep faith and actively participated in her church community. She found immense joy in her garden, tending to her plants with the same love and care she gave to her family. Her passions extended to creating a nurturing and vibrant home, where laughter and love flourished. Jannie’s legacy is one of family, and she is survived by her daughter Mary and son-in-law Bruce Denson, her son Jesse Stewart III and Alicia, daughter Barbara Murray, and grandchildren Jesse Johnston, David and Robin Denson, Alicia Powers Jr, Keith Powers, James Powers, Kyle Ray Stewart and Angel Lynn Stewart, seven great grandchildren and eight great great grandchildren.
A celebration of Jannie’s life will be held on December 4, 2025, at 10:00 AM, where family and friends will gather to honor her memory and the profound impact, she had on all who knew her. As her spirit continues to shine through her family, Jannie will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered.
Jannie was preceded in death by: Jesse Stewart, Eddie Yancey, Mattie Yancey, Cindy Stewart,
