Janette Coats Earnheart was born on November 11, 1952 in Dallas, Texas and passed peacefully from this life on September 5, 2023, surrounded by her children in Greenville, Texas. Janette was one of 6 children born to Minnie Lee Alford Coats and Aubrey Lewis Coats. In 1973, Janette married the love of her life, Larry Allan Earnheart, and to that union three children were born, Melissa Earnheart Neyens, Keith Allen Earnheart, and Kevin Lewis Earnheart. Janette’s profession was a homemaker, and besides raising her own children, she was an open door and caregiver for all the many cousins, nieces, and nephews in the family. Known as “Aunt Jean,” she was a favorite among the kids as she loved to laugh, was quick to forgive, and had a mischievous streak that kept everyone entertained. Janette was also famous for her cooking, and her potato salad and cornbread dressing for the holidays was second to none. Janette loved her dogs, going fishing, playing cards, bingo nights, and the occasional trip to a casino, but above all, she especially loved her grandchildren Alex, Dakota, and Colton. Janette was preceded in death by both her parents, her husband Larry, her youngest son, Kevin, her brothers Richard, Bobby, and David and her twin Annette. Left to celebrate her life and legacy are her sister Barbara Kelley and husband Jerry; her daughter Melissa and husband Darrell; her grandchildren Alex, Dakota, Colton, and Alejandra; her son Keith and wife Britt; and a host of cousins, nephews, nieces, and extended family.
