Janet Kay Flynn, age 74, peacefully passed away in her sleep on Sunday, November 29, 2020 at her home in Point, Texas. A celebration of her life will be held for friends and family at a later date.
Janet was born on November 26, 1946 to the late Henry Cox and Katherine Wiley Cox. She was raised in Dallas and graduated from W.W. Samuell High School in 1964. She attended East Texas State College from 1964 to 1967 and majored in elementary education and history. She worked at Steakley Chevy from 1969 to 1988. She worked for SMU Cox School of Business in 1999 until her retirement in 2012. Janet enjoyed spending her retirement years at Lake Tawakoni with friends and family.
She is loved and missed by her devoted husband of 36 years, Timothy Flynn; her brother, Henry and wife Carolyn Cox; son, Nathan Flynn; daughter, Misty Flynn; grandsons, Tre Couvillion and Ayden Flynn, granddaughter, Jewelaina Lovett and great granddaughter, Adley Courvillion.
In lieu of flowers and in honor of Janet’s’ love for animals, the family request that donations be made to the SPCA of Texas.
