James Scruby

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of James Robert Scruby, who left us peacefully on October 17, 2025, in Quinlan, Tx, at the age of 65.

Jim is survived by his mother, Joan Grieco, and three sisters: Beth Pautler, Leslie Mooney, and Jennifer Brown. Also his daughter, Carolynn Barbara Sozen and husband, Ercan; son, Jess Robert Scruby; and six grandchildren.

Jim was a loving father and a kind soul. In his younger years, he enjoyed fishing, hunting, boating and cars.

There will be a Graveside service for James Scruby on Wednesday, October 22nd, 2025 @ 3pm in Lakeside Memorial Park (8930 TX-34, Quinlan, TX 75474)

In Lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made at RAHAMA, Resources and Help Against Marital Abuse at www.rahama.org in Jim's memory.

Jim will remain in our hearts, and we ask that everyone pray for God Almighty's Mercy, Forgiveness, and Grace be showered on him.
