James Rowe Obituary

James Roy Rowe ‘Butch’, age 83, of Wills Point, passed away Thursday, October 31, 2024. A celebration of his life will be held later.

James Roy Rowe was born on May 22, 1941, in Cooper, Texas to Clarence Charles Rowe and Lally Katherine Henry Rowe. He was raised and attended high school in Cooper. James honorably served his country in the United States Army. He married Linda Jean Wager on April 29,1980 in Rockwall, Texas. He was a truck driver and retired from the Kansas City Railroad after many years of service. Butch was also a member of Masonic Lodge #422 and Teamsters local 745. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, traveling, and taking care of his homestead.

 He is greatly loved and dearly missed by his wife, Linda Rowe; son, Troy Allen Kilgore; daughters, Lori Deandra Welsh and husband Steve and Stacey Lynn Silva; grandchildren, Shane Welsh, Haley Gross, Josh Rowe, Brenton Joshua Silva, Ariel Welsh, Alicia Renee Diekhoff, and Jessica Lynn Silva; great grandchildren, Scott Welsh, Kole Allan Silva, Ronin Heart Silva, Isla Wren Silva, Jase Jamison Gross, and Olivia Welsh; brother- in -law Billy Wayne Wagar and wife Dana; sister, Karen Thurman, Sister -in- law  Theresa Mae Peacock. And his extended son Herbert Joseph Silva.

He was preceded in death by his son, Chad Devin Rowe and granddaughter, Brooke Danielle Rowe, sister Avon Aleen and brothers Don Rowe and Buddy Rowe.
