James Oliver Cadenhead

James Oliver Cadenhead, 92, of McKinney went to be with his Lord and Savior on Thursday, June 11, 2020 in Plano.  A graveside service celebrating James’ life will be held at 2:30 P.M. on Monday, June 15, 2020 at Laurel Land Memorial Park in Dallas.  Visitation will be held two hours prior to service beginning at 10:00 A.M. at Ingram Funeral Home in Quinlan.

James was born August 9, 1927 in Wills Point, Texas to J. B. Cadenhead and Marie Hulek Cadenhead.  He was raised and attended school in Wills Point.  After completing his education, James joined the United States Merchant Marine and traveled the world.  After his discharge from the Merchant Marine, James worked as a machinist.  He loved to fish, grow tomatoes, play his bass guitar, and eat catfish in Pecan Gap.  He is preceded in death by his parents, wife Ruby Cadenhead, son James Robert Cadenhead, daughter Clydie Jean Cadenhead, and brother Bob Cadenhead.

He is loved and will be missed by his daughter Teressa Holloway and husband Wayne of McKinney, partner for four years, Nelda Campbell of Pecan Gap; grandchildren Aaron and Ash-Lee Covey of McKinney; Christopher Covey of Denton, Jordan and Summit Covey of McKinney, and Stacy Lockwood and husband George from Arlington; great-grandchildren Grayson Lee Covey and Charlotte Jean Covey.
