JAMES CHAMBERS Obituary

James "JC" Carston Chambers was called home at the age of 80 on November 27th, 2021, at his residence in Celeste, TX.  JC had a very busy life.  Born at home in Anniston, Missouri to Les and Sue Chambers on October 3, 1941.  He was the oldest of three boys and spent his high-school years working and playing football in the Dallas, TX area.  He later joined the Navy where he found his love for aircrafts.  JC had a true gift at mechanics as well as flying.  He married Cynthia Chambers in August of 1979. Neither could ever remember the correct date so they celebrated the wrong day consistently for the better part of their marriage.

The couple moved from the Dallas area to Celeste, TX where they both embraced the small-town feel.  JC spent many years farming, working, being a father, and trying to manage Cynthia's QVC addiction.  He was a caretaker for his wife as well as his brother during their failing health and was beside them both during their last breaths.  JC was the definition of a strong man and will be terribly missed.  In his final days he took comfort in knowing he would be up there with mother and daddy, his brothers, his wife, and his little dogs again.

JC is proceeded in death by his daddy Les Chambers, Mother Sue Chambers, brothers Bobby Chambers and Gene Chambers, and his wife Cynthia Chambers.  He is survived by his daughters Melea Keck and Carrie Sager, his aunts Margie and Mernie, his nephew Jeff Chambers, 11 grandchildren and many more extended families.

His loss is huge, and the space left behind will never be filled.  There truly was no other like him and we are thankful every day he chose us as his daughters.  Until we see you again Dad.
