It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Isaura Tamez Powers, a beloved wife and devoted mother. She peacefully departed this world on September 3, 2023, surrounded by her family. Born on November 12,1961, Isaura was a beacon of love, strength, and compassion throughout her life. She touched the lives of everyone she met with her unwavering kindness and grace. Her memory will forever remain in the hearts of those who had the privilege of knowing her. She was preceded in death by her parents Rogelio Tamez and Maria Tamez, as well as her three brothers, Rogelio Tamez, Jr., Raymond Tamez, Rodolfo Tamez and her sisters, Rosa Maria Tamez, and Ana Maria Tamez who she is now reunited with in eternal peace.

Isaura Tamez Powers is survived by her loving husband, Thomas Francis Powers with whom she shared a lifetime of love and commitment. Their bond was a testament to the enduring power of love. She is also survived by her four children and four stepchildren: daughter Nora Peckham and husband Blake, son Rolando Lopez, Jr., daughter Ann Marie Arredondo and husband Adam, daughter Gloria Lopez and fiancé Chad, stepdaughters Elaine Powers, Ashley Stadelmaier and husband Ryan, stepson Steven Braumburger, stepson Kevin Powers. Isaura Tamez Powers was a remarkable mother, pouring her love and wisdom into each of her children. Her legacy lives on through them, as they continue to cherish the values and lessons, she instilled in them. Isaura Tamez Powers legacy extends further through her 20 cherished grandchildren, Jason Charles, Alyssa Charles, Adam Arredondo, Dylan Arredondo, Austin Arredondo, Zachary Lopez, Jocelynn Soto, Mia Lopez, Mariah Livar, Jaden Hernandez, Analise Arredondo, Jaylynn Bustillos, Cason Contreras, and step grandchildren Taylon Brandon, Danica Utt, Michael Ambrosini, Jayden Powers, Aubrey Stadelmaier, Emily Stadelmaier, and Samual Stadelmaier and great grandchildren Ava Charles, Aria Tarango, and Aaron Charles whose lives she influenced with her love and wisdom. She was a source of inspiration and a wellspring of love for each of them. She is survived by her three sisters, San Juanita Perez, Chriselda Morales and Elisa McClain who will carry on her legacy of love, adventure, and togetherness.

Friday nights were a special time for Isaura Tamez Powers as she gathered her sisters, Janie and Chris and family for poker nights, creating cherished memories filled with laughter and bonding over a deck of cards. This tradition was a testament to her love for family and her ability to create lasting connections. In addition to her love for cards, Isaura Tamez Powers had a passion for gambling at Choctaw Casino in Durant, Oklahoma. Her spirit of adventure extended to the slot machines, where she found excitement, fun, and a sense of community among fellow enthusiasts. As a dedicated member of the Junk Yard Dawgs and Pagans Motorcycle Club, Isaura Tamez Powers found a second family in her fellow riders. She exemplified the values of camaraderie, loyalty, and a sense of adventure that defined her club. Her memory will forever live on in the hearts of her fellow riders.
Isaura Tamez Powers was a pillar of strength for her family, providing unwavering support and guidance throughout the years. Her warm smile, kind heart, and sage advice will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her passing leaves a void that cannot be filled, but her love and teachings will continue to guide her family through life's journey. As we mourn her loss, let us also celebrate the beautiful life she led and the profound impact she had on all of us. May Isaura Tamez Powers soul rest in eternal peace, and may her memory forever shine brightly in our hearts.
