Gloria Villarreal Ames

Gloria Villarreal Ames, age 76, of Richardson, Texas was called home to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday, December 28, 2020. She was surrounded by her children when she took her last breath after a valiant fight with COVID-19 and will be deeply missed by all.

Gloria was born to the late Martin and Concepcion Villarreal in Corpus Christi, Texas and grew to become a loving, caring and devout Christian and member of The Salvation Army of Pleasant Grove Church in Dallas, Texas. Gloria truly loved her family and friends and was always there to help, listen and provide her positive energy to anyone in need. Her giving personality is just one of many characteristics that made her so special to all who knew her. Gloria touched the lives of so many with her vibrant personality, everlasting optimism and charismatic spirit.

There was never a dull moment when Gloria was around and if the occasion called for her to dress up, it was nothing short of glamorous as she felt it never hurt to add a little “bling-bling” to her wardrobe. Big or small, she was going to look just right for the event and would do all she could to make the gathering just a little better for everyone attending. We will surely miss her wonderful presence in the future.

Gloria had a large family and those left to cherish her memory include nine children: Robert Amador and wife, Delores of Bonita, LA; Anita Johnston and husband, Michael of Hawkins; Corina Martinez and husband, Sid of Mesquite; Sylvia Fergason and husband, Morriss of Midlothian; Sindy Escamilla; Ben Escamilla and wife, Sandra of Hawkins; Felicia Sias and husband, Daniel of Richardson; Chris Ames of Forney and Michelle Ames of Plano. Gloria adored her twenty grandchildren: Robert, Joey, Teresa, Rebecca, Anneka, Nick, Travis, Dominic, Xavier, Alexis, Breanna, Maddy, Brooke, Alyssa, Taylor, Alex, Sam, Heaven, Violet, and Aiden along with her seven great grandchildren: Landon, Liam, Blake, Lyric, Roxanne, Mariana, and Rylie

A Celebration of Gloria’s Life and worship service will be held at The Salvation Army of Pleasant Grove, located at 8341 Elam Rd., Dallas, Texas, 75217 on Saturday, January 9, 2021 at 2:00 PM with Major Angel Calderon officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Gloria’s honor may be made to The Salvation Army of Pleasant Grove.
