Glenda Gail Collins of Wylie Texas joined her husband of 48 years in eternity on November 7, 2024. Glenda and Richard Devon Collins married on December 21, 1963, in Mexia Texas. Glenda was born Nov. 8, 1949, to Julius Ol Guest and Dorothy Winifred LeMasters and was raised in Mexia. She worked as a cotton spinner at Mexia Cotton Gin for 20 years. She left the cotton mill to move to Garland, Texas in 1970. She retired from Quarter Hall Plating Company in 1992 after 22 years of service. She loved creating art projects and going to garage sales. She also enjoyed reading and working on sudoku puzzles along with crossword puzzles. She loved her “girls” very much! She loved talking to her best friend since childhood and sister-in -law Jo until she preceded her in death earlier this year in March.
She was loved and will be missed. She is survived by her daughters Robyn D’Ann and Rejina Danielle Collins, her sister Gwen Blasingame and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband Richard; brothers James, Buddy and Floyd Guest; her sister Dorothy Jo; her father Julius and mother Dorthy and sister -in -law Josephine Collins Hawes.
