Esther Lee (Farmer) Sims

Esther Lee Sims, 77, of Garland passed away on July 1, 2022, in Dallas. She was born on December 13, 1944, in Pine Bluff, Arkansas to Albert and Rosie Farmer.

Esther was a beautiful soul who loved her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren very much. One of Esther’s favorite hobbies was going fishing, or better said “catching fish”, because she sure wasn’t going to clean them or eat them. She enjoyed shopping thrift stores and garage sales. She also enjoyed having her own garage sales.

Esther is survived by her children: Robert Sims and wife Rose, Raymond Sims and wife Michelle, Tinaya Sims-Joshua and husband Wendell, Lee Sims; brother, Rickey Hunt; grandchildren: Michael, Tanizia, Lee Jr., Raymond Jr., Matthew, Adrian, Raymond, Nicholas, Haley, Persephanie; great-granddaughters: Zoey, Ronaya, Cameron, many nieces and nephews; and a host of other family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; loving husband, Robert Sims; siblings: Calvin Hunt, Belle Julian, Carolyn Baldwin; grandchildren: Timothy and Ebony.
