Dorothy Thomas

Dorothy Leathamae Thomas, 73, of Point, TX went to be with her lord and savior on Saturday, September 16, 2023.

 She was born on Wednesday, May 31, 1950, to John Brown and Reda Hatchett. Dorothy was born and raised in Holcomb, Missouri where she attended school and made memories with her siblings and family. She relocated to Texas where she laid down her roots and became a member of New Journey Church of God. Dorothy was a very proud sister, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She enjoyed spending time with her family and being a homemaker. She had many talents, but a couple of her favorites included sewing and singing. Dorothy not only enjoyed filling her family’s hearts with love, but she also always filled their bellies with her home cooking. Dorothy was an amazing woman who was strong in her faith; she will always remain in the hearts of her friends and family.

She is preceded in death by her parents; sisters Ruby and Shelby Brown; and brothers Johnny and Donny Brown.

She is survived by her sons Dennis Ladymon and wife Amber of Emory, Tony Ladymon and wife Pam of Point; daughter Crystal Wilcox and husband Kevin of Emory; brother Georgie Brown and wife Evelyn of Malden, MO; sisters Judy McDonald of Campbell, MD, Mable Gosa and husband Kenneth of Beaverton, AL; grandchildren Jesse, Danny, Justin, Anthony, Terry, Noah, and Jordan; and great-grandchildren Allison, Levi, Paxton, and Beck.

Romans 8:18; For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us.
